While Abhishek Bachchan has been shown as "Raavan", Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been shown as "Sita". The love chemistry between the two may spark controversies because this will not be in line with the story of "Ramayana" which is a highly revered holy book of Hindus. The film may have to face opposition.

Ram and "Sita" in "Ramayana" have been considered a divine couple. It is the chastity and purity of "Ram" and "Sita" which makes them an ideal for millions of Hindus across the world. Any attempt to demean them or to show them in poor light may hurt the sentiment of Hindus.
